I want more of a story where Kairi can focus on what she wants to be and discover something more to fight for then just Sora. She can still fight for him but surely there is something she can do that will bring the want to accomplish the need. She wants to protect Sora so the need to get better or stronger can be it's own story.

This is where I think her having a stronger interaction with Aqua would have been beneficial for both characters
