No KH at all, just focus on something else instead

When I started a KH2 Crit lvl 1 playthrough to flex my gaming skills but gave up after 3 hours of AS Larxene slaughter

Ever since then I am just not giving the series much thought

The only times I essentially think about KH are when topics are brought up in this channel.

Absence can give a lot of perspective I suppose

But at this point I have just concluded that this series is not for me.

And that's fine, I guess.

It's better that you've come to that conclusion rather than lying to yourself and continuing to be disappointed

What really saddens me is that I want* to like it, I *want to feel like I did back in 2017, when this series was the freshest thing for me, but I think that is not possible anymore. I guess that I didn't really like the series as a whole in the end, and KH1 just happened to be lightning in a bottle for my personal tastes. Oh well.

At least I can still cherish the friends I made along the way

Personally I'm still interested, and judging on a lot of my stuff from childhood I was actually quite into the series back then. Just now, I don't think I can be "hyped" by anything anymore. In a way it's good, I'll just play the next game (if it's on a console I have access too ) and don't let myself expect too much. Just go with the flow, y'know

Yes, lower expectations can go a long way in making the experience more enjoyable, that much is true.

I think I should refrain from posting my thoughts but I suppose I'm in the middle ground of you both

I lowered my expectations for KH3 quite spectacularly and even then I wound up underwhelmed because all the things I had lowered my expectation for where exactly the things that made me interested in the game in the first place.
