I mean personally I think it is on par with KH2, and a little below kh2fm

Different development team, different design philosophies, and a bunch of new gameplay additions and refinements

Look, when you see "Kingdom Hearts 3" you don't think it will be like Recoded or BBS, you think it would be like KH2 and KH1

And that's not necesarily gameplay and bosses

I mean that it will have characters and settings and gummi ship like those games

That's why I said it was fine if people thought that. But then the issue comes they got angry* for it which is again completely fine. But then even after being told how the development for this game worked and all, they still continue to be angry over this. This is by no means to say that *everyone who expected KH3 to be like 2 had that same reaction, but it was a lot of people.

The expectations for what people thought what KH3 was going to be, me included, were high. And a lot of people had that.

I had very low expectations tbh

I was one of those dirty people that looked at the leaks. The videos showing different parts of the game. So much of what I saw just left me crest fallen.

I remember when I watched the leak video titled "Square Enix hurt me", where the player showed how small Twilight Town was. Limited to only the Tram Common and the Woods with a new set of sewer tunnels as a transition between them. No Sunset Terrace to watch the beautiful sunset from, no Mansion with a cool atmosphere to explore.

That day was the day where everything changed. My expectations were crushed, slaughtered and blown up to smithereens.

Haha I remember the leaks on that - the map one comparing the size. I showed my sister and said "this is disappointing, but I don't think we should be too sad about it. Its just one area". Unfortunately there wasn't much else in OG worlds to make up for it, that's what stings for me.

I specifically set out to only watch gameplay from Twilight Town. After that bruh moment I just went all out and watched all the footage I could get my hands on.

The leaker, of course, was actually respectful and did not reveal any story details. So I went into the car crash that was the third act unprepared

Nah my main issue is that KH3 didn't feel like it excelled at anything other than the gummi ship
