Jokes aside, I didn't like it that much when I saw it but I started to like it more because it wasn't really a retcon. Braig was there fawning over wanting a keyblade out of nowhere and suddenly became his right hand man during the last battle in BBS, which did feel a bit weird but the twist here made it make sense too

Definitely wasn't planned tho, not what I am saying here

But I did like the addition of it later one

But I did like the addition of it later on

Yeah, it works good enough retroactively

In terms of twists it's on the better end of the spectrum I guess

I liked that twist funnily enough

Of course, it wasn't planned, but I thought that with how mysterious xigbar is it makes sense to me

Yup

Characters being consistent, can you believe it

Oh yeah, he definitely left things open

Pretty normal thing to do for a writer if there's something you want to add a later on

I think from KH2 to BBS everything was 99% planned

That's why those games fit so well together

Ehhhh

Like in Days we see Xion turn into Ventus when Xigbar is looking at her

I think the Roxas and Ven thing was left open

But definitely not Terra and Aqua

Well maybe not 99% but definitely about 75%

Not before 2FM at least

Aqua and Terra had no teases or mentions in the vanilla version at all. It was in 2FM that added something of a tease for them, ie Lingering Will and Aqua's armor in Radiant Garden. But even then, they left something weird like Donald and Goofy's weird "THIS IS MASTER YEN SIDS TOWER? I HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE"

Roxas was the only one that could be considered a tease for Ventus because Roxas looks nothing like Sora as his nobody

I am talking from 2 vanilla tho

2FM did add some stuff

2fm wasn't released so much long after KH2, I think it's fair enough to say that at least the basics of how things would connect were in Nomura's mind. Also the original KH2 showed terra and aqua in the secret ending

And ven

Development on BBS began in like 2007 as well

The yen sid tower is thing is just one of those oversights

Yeah but that's more of a concept trailer. They had ideas on these 5 characters but nowhere to put them in the story yet

My point was that they definitely didn't plan 99% haha

99% was an exaggeration

But from KH2 - Days - BBS the story is relatively water tight with no real retcons or anything

And there is competent actual planned foreshadowing

It more or less went like this
BBS was in concept stage by KH2 > Days came out with teases of BBS with Ven > 2FM came out with teases of Terra and Aqua

2FM came out after Days, right?

I might be mixing up here

xD

It's more like: KH2 OG releases - > pre production starts for BBS - > 2FM releases with teases - > Days releases with foreshadowing - > BBS releases

Oh, Days was after

2fm was 2007 and days 2009

Right?

Ah

But still, the important BBS stuff came with 2FM
