I think they wanted to show Ienzo has having childhood curiosity in his mannerisms because he grew up as a nobody so when he became whole again it was like him regaining his childhood nature back
Which was cute but honestly Zexion was ultimate teenager in personality

so a teenager is a child with no heart

Honestly teen me was horrible so yeah ?
