Xehanort got his own body back, how that worked no idea

All we know is, he got it back at the same time as Terra did which is when both Ansem and Xemnas were destroyed

So it's basically like this
Apprentice Xehanort "dies" > Ansem and Xemnas are created > both are destroyed > Terra and Xehanort got their own bodies back > Terranort from the past possessed Terra's body in the present > Terra's heart is sent to the Guardian

I don't exactly know about the aging of characters, but what we do know is that Nomura has made a form of time travel so convoluted that time travel fans have a hard time wrapping their heads around it
