Like when I saw a unboxed copy of Pokémon Emerald being sold for $39.99, which was more than the base price when it came out. It was a bit outdated by then.

I remember when just before the x one and ps4 were about to release there was two adverts running side by side on tv, the xbox forza one ran first and the project cars ps4 I think? It wasn't gt anyway, ran straight after. The difference between the two were shocking

Pretty much cemented my decision for ps4, not that it was much of one anyway

To be fair Project Cars 1 wasn't that good

Forza is a brilliant Sim Racer, it just looks arcade from the outside

What always drew me in to Gran Turismo was the vibe though

Licenses -> non linear progression system where you can tackle most events in any order you want -> collecting cars in order to do other races

Licenses are a big draw for me too

The way GT1 - GT4 did it was the best, GT5 had the stupid leveling system and GT6's career was pitful

Gran Turismo 6 is just the worst, they basically got rid of endurance races and instead made short races where the fuel and tire depletion were increased and the time ran 60 times faster

24 minutes of Le Mans? Eat me.

And then GT5 had the full Endurance races with the pog 24 hours of Le Mans with full fledged day - night cycle and dynamic weather but the game started lagging like crazy midway through and there was the weird glitch were the other cars pit stopped constantly if you saved the race at the wrong time

Basically GT4 is the pog

I wish we could get another career mode like that one, it was built on player choice and non-linearity and every event and prize car you got had weight and charm

Like saving money to get the Ford GT to race the Supercar Championship and then using the money to buy the Saleem S7 and use that car to race the Star and Stripes championship to get the Camaro LM Race Car to then race the 200km of El Captain to get the Toyota Minolta
