that's bc we are a bunch of high schoolers being forced by our parents to skip the rest of hs and start college in said subject thus they feel like they need to hold our hand

I know in Scotland a decent chunk of kids start uni at 16/17, but there's no way you can be thrown in the deep end like that without some basis
