I'm not joking, the vast majority of vgc tailored content just doesn't exist anymore because the forums for those places died, and now people use private twitter dms

If you're a newbie to the game there is NO community left to turn to

It's maddening to me, especially as Nintendo has the money to fix this

The incentive aren't that great, but they do have things like exclusive eventmons. I guess there is merchandise as well, but that's extra.

Yeah the only incentive to attend is eventmons but you can stand outside the venue and get it if you really want
