It kinda took apart a character’s entire arc and reduced another to a shadow

Haven't really played a Pokemon game since the Sun and Moon came out and I beat those so it's been some years for me

The last main game I personally bought was black 2

But it’s neat for someone who might like lore or whatever. Story was stronger in Gen 7 though

Mmm I think gen 5 tops it

gen 5 post game wS the one i really wanted to do cuz it still felt like the story technically wasn't zulrah since we never fought the champion yet but I never ended up getting to it

Gen 5 postgame is pretty good imo

Gen 4 with HGSS may be better objectively

It’s pretty much considered on par, but instead of a battle of ideas and ideologies it’s a story about overcoming abuse and having the strength to stand up to your abusers and break free of them

Anyway, I was saying something about gen 5

And a story about how horrible grief is and how it alters someone

Oh yeah, gen 5 is consistently good through both games

They have a higher sense of connectivity too

Like kanto/johto

BW2 is great for content but again... I think the story is kinda lacking compared to the OG BW

I think it's a nice build up on top

It goes from “Defeat Ghetsis in this battle of ideas and prove his philosophy wrong with actions”

“Stop Ghetsis I guess”

“He’s being evil, go fight”

It's just supposed to be a build up, and it works really good as that especially when you get to see characters improve

Like lance going from elite 4 to johto champion, and iris going from gym leader to champ

I’m sorry but I cannot forgive BW2 for how it took Ghetsis down a notch in his complexity because he’s otherwise one of the best villains of the series

Don't get enough of that
