Like in the 50/60/70/80/90s a very popular sport among certain youth in the UK was "paki bashing"

Literally just beating up school kids to death because they were 'pakis'

And they did die y'know

Scary to think, my dad was almost close to that, he was beaten up so badly so many times

Even up until I was 7

Up until I was 5 our house used to be attacked with toilet paper, eggs, footballs bricks etc

And someone scratched paki into my dad's car

When I was 6 or something

That was after we moved house

The whole paki racism was getting better in the 90s and then 9/11 happened and it came back

I'd actually forgotten about it until just now

But to me, it sounded like a bomb was hitting our house, and it felt like almost every week it happened

It's awful and the racism is still going, it's not like it's "isolated incidents" or anything

They've become very emboldened

I remember even a minor thing, my Pakistani friend in A level was on the phone to his mum and someone shouted at him to speak English

My response is to be like "I'm speaking Welsh"

Well, from the demo all the events have had, it doesn't start from the beginning of the game

So sadly I don't think that will happen
