When it comes to competitive pokemon battles megas were present for two generations, and actually gave a fresh injection to many pokemon, they were not only the most balanced new addition we've had, but their potential was great

Maybe broken, but she means not as bad as the new mechanisms

If it sticks around for more than one gen, it's not a gimmick anymore

It's definitely a gimmick, Quid. Gimmick doesn't mean it's a bad thing but by every definition it is

Megas were so interesting to me I just wish they stuck with it for a bit longer

All pokemon have stats
In gen 4, the attack and defence stats were split to physical Atk and special atk

Natures and Abilities were introduced in III.

Few people will disagree that they were good for the meta

V had HAs.

They literally change the way you play pokemon

It's not a superficial thing
