he starved himself of water to get his muscles big for the role

He heard the show was being made and said he was interested, then the showrunner heard and loved that idea

So he got hired

And the starving thing is normal for body shots

They do it so the muscles pop up more

i believe the starving because its the norm for guys to do that

eh they emphasized it alot more in the video I watched, they probably were exagerating
