Black Clover

The beginning is not good

But it gets really fun 15 episodes in or so

People overhate on it too much

The beginning is weak but it gets dramatically better

It's like if back in 2002 people said "One Piece is bad, the Orange Town Arc sucks", but they didn't read the latest arc, which was Alabasta, which is where One Piece gets really really good.

Of course I'm not trying to compare Black Clover and One Piece here

It's a just a comparison to show what the Black Clover situation is like

But it gets so much better

And people don't give it enough credit for that

To be fair it's not what I would call really interesting

The premise is at first fairly generic and it's no wonder that in the beginning it was referred to as "Naruto nostalgia bait"

Also the show does do something which I consider interesting, that being class struggle and the discrimination royalty and nobility often have towards the poor and the lower class.

Many other manga have touched on that theme before but Black Clover puts it on the forefront

Also the show has very, very good comedy

Made me laugh out loud a fair number of times

There's a scene in episode 20 that made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe

It's not a cornerstone of shonen, it's not the best story out there, but it's enjoyable and a good time, and sometimes that's all you need

I'm certainly enjoying it more than I'm enjoying MHA now

Sorry but all the MHA hype has left my mind and soul

DBZ anime is decent

Ive seen bits and pieces of naruto, one piece, and the "product placement anime" (yugioh, bakugan, pokemon, ext)

Naruto is overall good but Shippuden as a whole kinda drops the ball

Towards the very end I couldn't help but think "ok, can this just end already"
