And yeah idk what’s wrong with newer Square Enix games, but your character seems always harder to control than in older games

More realistic movement

they want the realistic weight of a human + big sword

yet when you do attacks it should feel fluid

Also applies to KH3, Sora seems stiffer than in KH2 which makes it harder to control

It's been a thing for some time in action games and now it's a thing in KH3 and FF7R

Pretty frustrating mechanics tbh

Some games pull it off better than others

western games have been doing it for ages

Like, the movement in Nier Automata feels better to me than in KH3 because even though Sora does the stop and go thing when quickly changing directions he still feels light like paper, while 2B feels appropriately heavy.

yeah, it'd be nice to just be fluid all the way through

I can’t think of any game where I haven’t hated that feature lol

I dislike the realism

Plat has movement down to a T haha

Not in FF7R just speaking generally

even AC which was heavier than Nier had it down

I dislike it in KH3 as well where the starting run up is juttery
