Unleashed's jump was bad

Way too heavy on horizontal acceleration

Made it really hard to do platforming because you could never judge how far Sonic would go

As his acceleration rate had an acceleration of its own :BizDolan:

Gens had a pretty good jump, great balance between vertical and horizontal

Lost World's jump wasn't bad, though it did lack reach

hmmm i preferred unleashed jump.

colors jump wasnt good and forces is even worse

i think generations like just as good as unleasheds

The jump wasn't bad in Unleashed all the time in grand part due to how the levels were designed

There were very few 3D platforming sections, those often relied more on quick stepping

And those that were there were at least cleverly designed

Like the one in Skyscraper Scamper

oh sky scaper scamper is kind of hard the first time you play it and then after you play a few times its a great level to blaze through

But Apotos Act 4 shows you just how bad the jump physics can be when you're in a tight space and have to jump from a standstill

It was a DLC one

Very hard level

Even harder because the framerate drops to the higher 10s :BizDolan:

i always wanted to get the dlc for unleashed tho, i wish theyd just re release the game with the dlc in it

360 also had the DLC, they're just unavailable for some reason

It's a shame because the PS3 version, although having an unlocked framerate that can reach 60fps, often dips lower than the 360 version

And some levels just feel terrible to play because of it

Like Savannah Citadel Act 4

And Rooftop Run 2-3

And Rooftop Run 2-2

Also the Werehog levels were disappointing

I thought they'd take the chance to have interesting locations in the levels buch a bunch of them were just boring

i thought skyscrape scamper had a cool aesthetic, as well as spagonia
