Although I prefer the gameplay of the Werehog in the HD versions, I think the levels themselves are better in the SD versions

yeah i think the levels in the wii version for werehog are better in terms of locations

Mostly because there's an added emphasis on platforming and there isn't as much brawling in them

And there are so many cool setpieces

like in the wii version i really like the chu nan night stages setpieces

over the chunan night in HD

Things like the ice temple in Holoska and the giant tree in Jungle Joyride come to mind

Chun-nan and the Great Wall was so pog

it was so cool

the HD version had the great wall in the day stage instead

Yeah

and gave the night version just some houses to jump through

But the SD day stage had an amazing setpiece, that being the cherry blossoms

Love that bit

I want to give unleashed a fair chance tbh, I had a severe dislike for it when I was a little kid

Unleashed is better than its given credit for

yeah i really liked that about the SD version, but just about everything else in the SD version i found to be a little lacking

Tbf I had a very different reason for disliking it

what was it?

No explorable hub worlds was annoying, and the lack of levels from the HD version didn't help

Also those damn missions

i love unleashed its one of my favorite 3D sonic games

Though on the other hand
