i want the next smt to be more accessible, because the series smashes my dick in pretty hard

like it's absurd how much easier Persona is

don't wanna "hate" smt, but nocturne and the digital devil games were "hard" for the wrong reason when I played them

Hopefully not I mean if it's around apocalypse level that's okay because that was pretty excessively and easier than usual. But it was difficult enough

like the combat was absolutely horrible

i played the majority of the SMT games and honestly

they were not fun

like, combat constantly felt like it was there to firetruck you over instead of to be challenging

and then the entries that have an Easy mode make the games way too easy

so there isn't really a middle ground at all

i really want 5 to be a reboot difficulty wise that doesn't adhere to the past ones

because I really want to like SMT. I love the settings and concepts in a lot of the games, like soul hackers is firetrucking cool as shit

but the actual gameplay just isn't fun for me

that's the SMT4 sequel esque game right

I played all of the PS2 ones and a fair amount of the DS/3DS ones

Apocalypse change things a little to make it easier but still have that nice smt difficulty

Granted the final boss can literally firetruck you over no matter what and that was awesome and I loved it felt truly worthy of his title as YHVH

Satan before him to was pretty difficult

all fights have to be fair

like especially in turn based games, having a super high and borderline unfair difficulty curve is a big turn off

because you don't have as much freedom as say an action rpg or the like

the trick is the really take advantage of the press turn system and granted it can still be crazy hard

when i get my new pc i'm gonna try emulating the ps2 SMTs and see how that goes

digital devil saga i recall being the most welcoming

nah i have no desire to cuz of the FE inspiration in it

Honestly though if you wants it most easier games play 4 and apocalypse and make a pure magic build and you will basically ruled a game because the way there is no defense and Magic basically rules everything

I just want it to be fairer, not easy necessarily

i just don't think the series is for me which is fine
