My point is just this, it sucks that digital people have to wait but it's not like Square can just go around releasing it early cause of the virus. They have rules and protocols they have to follow.

that isn't really an argument though, because Square sent out copies early this time around which just makes things far worse than normal. Games always leak early yeah, but this extent and context is unprecedented

Hindsights is a bitch, Square's thought process was most likely that the virus would have caused shipping delays, and they aren't wrong about that. So the best solution to them was to ship it early but it ended up harming it instead.
