One more thing to say about the 7R. It's a full fledged story of Midgard. There's a proper beginning, middle and ending. And should last between 25-30 hours depending on how you play it, I ended it on almost 33 hours.

How are the sidequests

They are fine, nothing special

Like are they ff15 tier

There's a bit more life to them here than it was in 15
