I think a lot of time and effort went into creating the open world and physics that it just lost a a lot of the other things that could have made it good in my eyes.

I hate when ppl say its a zelda game story isnt the highlight

People rave about how it's so big and aimless where you can do anything and explore whatever but....there's jackshit to explore

and I was really disappointed in the shrines, found them to be too samey in terms of aesthetics

Anything you go to find is most likely a weapon that will break in 20 hits

Sure they have always been simplistic but the story has been something Zelda has put work into since 2000

I mean sure, but story was never really the main selling point of them

I think the older zelda's are definitely less Story focused but they have definitely become a bigger part of it

From my experience, yeah
