sony doesn't dictate his film style. Raimi's style is goofy and cheesy. He has always done that! it kind of worked for Evil Dead, but actually his style was so cheesy and bad.. that people legit thought Evil Dead was a comedy! so he just ran with it for the next movies... he owned it! but that style in my opinion just does not fit Spiderman!

because they thought they could control him

not because hes a popular director

hes not a yes man

i can admit. he got a damn good Doc Oc in spiderman 2

but other than that.. they are just some of the worst superhero movies in my opinion!
