I used to be pretty into Neptunia like years ago

But I lost interest after a while cuz they release so much low effort shit

Never heard of this game series

They even cash grabbed mega dimension vii by releasing another version of it with VR support but with worse combat

And the VR sections are super limited

it started as just turning consoles into kawaii girl and became one of the biggest weeb game cash grab

but they are cute so it's ok

i miss when the games had real plot

the earlier games had unironically good soundtracks as well

idk I always thought that the games weren't gonna have a crazy amount of story just given the premise, it's really just meant to be a character driven game where it's not so much about some quest or anything but just kinda hanging with the characters as they went through it

I never actually finished megadimension vii, but I feel like it kinda peaked there for what they were trying to do, and supposedly the new one is supposed to be a sort of divergence from the current way it's doing stuff, which has mainly been a sort of hack and slash beat em up thing, with neptunia U and the blanc and Neptune things, coming into 4 goddesses online. I feel like they just wanted to move onto new stuff and sort of did a restart. the whole series really parodies game consoles, so in a way I kinda see neptunia rpg as being a parody of I am Setsuna as a sort of look back on the older ways. Obviously it probably wasn't meant that way, but still. I just think it's probably gonna culminate into whatever this next game is going to be

I think that's just a limitation of the premise with what they try to do with it, like they had fairy fencer f and that wasn't a bad game

they can make good games when they really try to

issue I mainly have is that the recent titles just seem so lazy compared to what came before. The games have never been amazing but they at least tried to have decent narratives

I still have to play advent force lol it's just been sitting in my library. I'm just always bad with turn based which is why I tend to have more fun with the games like neptunia U and 4goddesses

Supposedly there was an original trilogy before the rebirth series that had a lot of different story aspects to them, but I didn't ever like the concept of them just because apparently they gave up their CPU powers lol
