Yeah I would say that

I wouldnt say pattern recognition is something that comes to mind with what I've played

my friend has been playing wow and he hates the map design he says it's too confusing and the Map look how to get around places is awful

Like you know the data fights in Kingdom Hearts 3 how you memorize their patterns and how to react to them that's very similar to how ff14 plays

The world is the main reason I play it tbh

Yeah Wow is, look up the boss mechanics, then do it and react what mechanic comes up accordingly while doing your role like healing or whatever

Like he was in this Canal Place and it was like a green water everywhere and he trying to get to this place but there was no way to get there visible the map and you couldn't figure out who

in 14 u buy the base game plus latest expansion

Although sometimes they give out the base game for free like on PS4 right now

they sell the entire game with all expansions for 30 bucks pretty regularly

I would quite like a MMO that's not so combat focused
