tips are normally nice but they're actually kinda problematic where I work lol
We're not allowed to accept tips and if theyre insistent then we have to take it as a donation, which sounds fine, but theres a bunch of paperwork behind all that its just annoying lol

Where do you live?

Cause here tips are not as mandatory as it is in US, but you can still take it if they offer it

ah it's not a state thing it's because I have a federal job

I work with the park service

government man

so do people ask you "hey can you help me with my parking tickets?" all the time? xD

all ik is

I have an hour till I get off and if he doesn't come back for his cash im keeping it

Nahh lol
at least around me, people are pretty good at recognizing who deals with parking tickets and everything else. So they just come to me to talk about whatever

it's honestly kind of offputting how much the uniform makes you approachable

People talk to me like I'm an employee at the store because I wear the uniform and I am I guess but it feels weird to be viewed like that

Yeah I get that
It's like you're not really you at that point, at least not to them
You're just a representative of an establishment

And they refer to me as you guys or somthin like do you guys have X item

I do the exact same thing I think but it's just weird being on this other side

everybody calls me "Sir"

and it's really really weird

Definitely I'm like I'm a guy who plays Final Fantasy 14 all day I don't think I'm fitting to be called sir lol

i guess i get that

i work in a warehouse ans even though other people also work in the same place when they ask me where something is they are super polite

its weird

in japan they are against tips because it mean you pitied them and think they arent enough to take care of themselves @Otti#8624 they arent aggressive with the tipping unlike america

Yeah I know that

Thankfully I knew of that before I went there hahaha

Would have been awkward

I don't like that tipping is a thing anywehre

I don't like that tipping is a thing anywhere

I shouldn't have to pay your salary
