there's so much to change with money

but like, would most ppl be willing to sacrifice daily comfort to just use that money to attempt (not even be sure to) changing things

not justifying their behaviour

im truly trying to think about all of this

They definitely seem out of touch with reality.

it must take a certain amount of sheltering or cognitive dissonance to be wealthy and avoid all these issues

i'd be uncomfortable with so much money, i'd either drown in luxury until i forget so much ppl starve out there, or use every penny to solve sth bc i wouldn't feel worthy to own so much

Or like the people who win the lottery and then ruin their lives or go on spending sprees

yup, but that's just bc those people have lived with a certain mentality i guess

it was overnight

it's like work pleasure work pleasure

I like to imagine if that ever happened to me I would be more reasonable but who knows maybe I would change as a person but I like to think I wouldn't

imagine coming into so much money people don't know how to handle

i'm pretty sure i'd lose it all in a matter of weeks

or get scammed

buying some house

or apartment

my brain can't handle such complex topics

Personally I've never really been one to care for luxuries so i can with a lot of money I'd probably still live cheaply just by nicer food I don't know

or stuff that requires immediate attention

and long term planning

that's also how I grew up thinking

but that's also because i didn't have a terrible childhood

i've had time to experience some "luxuries" even in middle class terms

Yeah I guess that might be true as well who knows but like going but like going places and stuff I always saw still see as a chore

rn i just want my apartment and maybe to crochet on my freetime lol

i think the two last generations are just coming in terms with the reality of what they'll be able to afford

we don't dream big

we can't

Like my family likes to go on cruises and vacations to Mexico and I'm like why I'd rather get waterboarded then go on a long trip like that

haha

my father is very fond of exotic vacations aswell

and to some extent I can understand

but I wouldn't see it as a proper reward for exhausting months of work in an unpleasant career choice

i'd rather not aim that big

i'll just go to the capital of france
