To heavily religious people you should only think breathe and live Jesus

At least that's what I was thought growing up

if i like twinkies ill eat them in moderation

but im not never going to eat a twinkie

Like I had a Christian counselor when my parents were getting divorced and I would say things like that was a kid before I went to bed I would think of fascinating stories in writing and drawing and they didn't like that at all because I wasn't praying

i had that when I was Hindu and went to the temple

like why am i not using prayer beeds at night before I sleep and letting God enter my mind

i have ptsd of hinduism church sessions

there's a good reason im agnostic now haha

literally everything that was meant for me to be a part of it made me question Hinduism and turned me away from it

i just dont like that concept personally
like I get it
there's this upper being who offers guidance and stuff to your everyday life and whatnot, it helps people
But to turn that being into such a higher power that you fear and worship is just dumb to me

like

my thing is that why do you need to do so much to get if they are so benevolent

you have to do so much as a Hindu in a temple and im like why does any of this even matter

if it started off as "Hey guys there's this person named God/Buddha/whatever else, they reaaally know how stuff works, lets go to this book for guidance" then im like gucci cool I getcha

but if it becomes like

My mom always said that you have to fear with respect if you're not absolutely terrified that's not respect now personally I think that's pretty messed up
