Did we need a The Last of Us 2? The ending of the first was morally ambiguous and a perfect way to end the story

But we got a useless sequel

That undid everything that happened in the first game in an instant

I disagree, it was a fantastic sequel that enhanced it

I don't know how you can compare Joker 2 and TLOU2 when the differences between them is night and day

TLOU is an original story that can go anywhere it wants while Joker is tied to Batman and DC in general where the first movie did jackshit with either of them where a sequel even has less wiggle room to do suff

Don't know, I found TLOU2 pointless and more generic, a simple revenge story

If you say the second is generic then so is the first one

And so is Uncharted, what makes the games work is the character writing

Gameplaywise, yes, both are.
Story-wise, the first one brought something: we have a man grieving on his daughter's death who learn to see another one in Ellie, to the point of risking humanity just to have her with him

So a generic story about loss

Which is my point here, the plot can be whatever and still be generic. What made both games work is the writing.

My point was, I think TLOU didn't need a sequel, just like Joker.
And it doesn't suck to dislike something, it's just tastes
