60 and then above that yeah

but like 120, 140 is just excessive

its not though

While I notice that sort of differnece, sure... the average person doens't.. need that many Frames

the higher your fps, the more frames the monitor can choose from

120 is silky smooth pain

so everything is smoother

my friend swears that you can

can't see higher than 30

lol

That's silly

i think he needs glasses

Actually, it depends on how it's rendered usually

In a game like Okami, that's.. probably ltierally the smoothest 30 fps you can see

And in part, that might be due to code, the engine, the art style.. who knows

Ssometimes you ltierally never notice it in a game

same ama

Maybe it's just me

So the statement is mostly a yes and no, if anything

you'll notice it if it's implemented poorly

but if done well.. you won't

But I just don't think of fps as important as a game being fun, as the story and soul of it

Movies are at 24 fps

But.. you don't normally notice that in the movie. There's times you do, but normally, you don't

Same, Kitten, tbh

Guys, 120 fps is not something that is coming to consoles, at least for the foreseeable future. Most consoles are used on TV's and quite a lot of them don't reach that high. Developers are not going to waste time on something a small amount of people are going to reach. 60 is something that they should hit, yes, but it's never been a deal breaker for a lot of the games. Especially the first part games and exclusives.

well the thing is if a game is locked at 30 fps. you notice it at first if you are used to 60 fps. but you get used to it and then it's smooth imo if there are literally no dips

Focusing too much on fps being perfect might mean the game is bad because so much energy was put in that aspect

i can agree. but at this day and age. locked 60 should be a staple just as 30 has been

That's fine, obv

And I agree that it should be a thing more often

That's just a fear I have. There's already games that put graphics over substance

it's only natural for games continuing to advance with current gen that the fps also advance

But.. I just want games to continue giving me an enjoyable experience really, in terms of one I can relate to, carry the message onward, or likewise

“There’s games that put graphics over substance”

cough* Sony *cough

pain

let's not start this console war bullshit lol
