Hurts my brain

id rather have less, but more unique abilities

than the bloat of FF14

Damn 2008? I was 12 years old @_@

Well, in FFXIV, they give you enough time between when you skills so that you can adjust to them and learn the skills @Novayon

Oh, yeah. Wrath came out in 2008 but I was playing, 2009 or 10 In dunno

And the skills are simple enough as they are, here's an example

Let's say you're white mage

You have cure I,Cure II,Cure III

You primarily use Cure I

Aww Connah was 9 years old, how adorable!

Cure II is for bigger heals, and Cure III is an AOE heal that does as much as Cure I

Then there is Medina I and Medina II

yes

thats bloat

Well I'm assuming white mage is a healer haha

but Medina II is also an AOE, but it aplies regen, so it does less intial healing, but can be great for when you can't pay attention to everyone's health all at once

Yeah, it's a healer class

See, I'm sure is fine for most, it's just for me even with the pretty pruned WoW, it's too much to handle in a Raid

fair enough, yeah

Though, as you can see with what i mentioned, the skills are actually rather simple

and players are always willing to make up breakdowns and mentor new faces

Just a lot of choices to be made then?

Yes. Some classes have it easier than others

White Mage basically is just "Okay, what kind of healing now?" and it's as simple as seeing what everyone's health is at

but then we go to Summoner..

Summoners have it a bit rouh, where their rotations can last... 10s of minutes at a time

because they have to keep the damage going

Oof

FF is slower than wow isn't it?

The er, timing thing

Cooldowns

And their rotations basially aren't a proper circular thing, iit's more about making, i guess.. choices? At all times

Yeah, i believe it might be slower? I wouldn't know personally

That might be better for me tbh

I can never react in time with wow's speed

but then you have easier to get into classes, ofc

Like Monk and Dragoon

Who's rotations are pretty simple, just with a few deviations, ehre and there, like

"oh, use this buff here"

or "Use this skill if that's on cooldown"

Etc

Tbh, it would probably be fine because I don't like raids anyway, so even a more complex job, ok in smaller scale things

The class I play in wow is one of the more complex ones

Yeah, you don't have to really.. do anythhing in FFXIV, you legitmatley can just, play the main story

and be on with your day

though, you miss out on side stories that are rather good, albiet those side stories often make you go through raids

Hmm

I guess with in game friends it's fine to do the bigger things, but randos suck

like, sure, it's basically just filler, but it's so enjoyable that, you kinda don't mind it.

Yeeeah, absolutely..

With in-game friends, you can coordinate better

With randos, you kinda have to hope they do their job well

for example.. let's say a friend is tank
