but if you do really like something and can make it to 50, you can then unlock Red mage and samurai if you have storm blood expansion

which can be started long before heavensward, if you so like

and once you get a little into the Heavansward expansion you can get Mechanist and Astro

But if you want dark knight, machinist, astrologian, need to at least get to heavensward's story
