Happy Vernal Equinox

The animal kingdom loves the idea of they smaller the are, the worse the toxin is going to be. Big snakes = No Toxin

Well there is but they won't kill you with it.

Animal kingdom believes in great things coming in small packages

Big snakes are more into the idea of squeezing to death

A while back I was watching episodes of Attenborough wildlife documentaries to help me sleep. quack

Attenborough does have a comforting voice.

One of the episodes was about caves. And there's some pretty horrifying stuff in them. Like one which had a bat fall into a pile of guano, and was eaten alive by cockroaches

That wasn't so comforting

I watched a video years back on why venomous animals are more akin to warmer climates and after sitting through 11+ minutes w/ some playback, the answer didn't seems so clear.

But there is a conclusion or at least a hypothesis on why Australian snakes are so venomous and it's said to have something to do w/ the scarcity of prey, so the snake has to do more to ensure the effectiveness of each strike.

It may also have something to do w/ a higher threat from predators, foes, and competitors.

Wow, so Australia is so extreme that the predators are having to get even more effective at killing...

The answer is just it's Australia ?

Sea Wasps

Wandering Spiders, snakes, The desert which is half the country itself I believe.

NVM it's like 35 percent, the rest isn't classified as desert but semi arid.

Nature looked at Australia and said "screw it"

Trying to avoid swearing...

Australian nature is quite competitive.

Ah, it's the battle royale of nature

Sheep are the winners

Dunno how much of it has changed but there was like 10 sheep for every person. Clearly sheep are the height of the animal food chain.

Hmmm

And the best part is that it's not a dangerous population.

Sheep are taking over the human population, wake up sheeple!!
