give me a fully fleshed out single player. with the ability to have 4 friends to play with me. like old school co op

Can't speak for that one, but I can speak for the Monster Hunter series... The games have much depth in the gameplay, in what players can do, you can technically go through a story mode, and you can take on online with 3 other friends

monster hunter world is different. i went into not even expecting a story.. it's the kinda game you go into instanced areas and hunt.. that's it. it's fun but it's predictable! you get what you pay for!

And they give you a lot to do already initially in the game.. once intiail release cools down, they release content they develope for later, like new monsters, for free

then destiny 2 they ruined the raids. they gave us a half assessed story and content you could complete in like 2 weeks of playing every day.. because it's a wannabe MMO.. it doesn't have consistent content to make it a "live service"

The annual pass content is great in D2
