there may be a chance akira get redubbed but probably heavily censored and edited

Direct translations don't always translate or convey the idea so well since the concept of a word may not carry so well. Localization often has to alter to make it more understandable in English. But, sub is often nice to get the original idea the author was attempting to convey and have an uncensored version of the media in question.

There is also different appreciation of the voice work to consider.
