It feels like much of the focus is being shift or split over the other platforms and side games; especially w/ mobile games being all the rage these days, so there are other teams like Genus Sonority, Ambrella, and Niantic getting major focus as well.

So basicallY TPC has to choose with foot they want to shoot themselves in.

And if you remember the tweet about the person that datamined the LG games, the data for the other Pokémon and forms were actually hidden in the discs.

Here's a possibility I think may be the case: They actually DO have the older Pokémon programmed in the game, but haven't completed their optimization for SW/SH yet, but don't want to get our hopes up in case there is no way to patch optimizing the game to run them all w/in a reasonable amount of time or if the other companies even permit it.

Like the parent companies tell them that time is up for projects and they can't invest certain resources into the project to further optimize if for updates via a patch past "completion." Meanwhile, their development teams are split up and distributed elsewhere w/ no salvos to help make up/give them more manpower.
