Yea I don’t eat steak much, but I am trying to clean out my freezer. I found these and a NY strip ima eat tomorrow

But damn my potatoes have the most delicious aroma.. and this steak is melt in your mouth

So a dumb question, how do you know if your steak is rare or well done if you don't cut it open?

Then closer to your wrist is medium rare

Then almost to your wrist is done

It was room temperature meat that I put on a scolding hot pan for 2 mins each side

All it needs

While basting butter over it which cooks it through

So you like a hockey puck?

Might as well eat a shoe at that point

I don't know what I like because I don't have it often enough

Well to give you an idea. Most places make their steak medium rare. UNLESS you ask for it done differently

So medium rare is usually that sweet spot

But I typically like rare

Indeed. The smaller one I made was medium rare. It’s just since I was cooking 2 different size steaks the large one was a little pinker

All I know is if that meat isn't thoroughly cooked ur a heathen
