That’s why I think the story is actually from the perspective of Atreus or rather, it’s more from his eyes, and we happen to be playing Kratos. This isn’t saying Atreus somehow magically learned of what happens in the mid point, but considering the way the saga will unfold now

No, not in that regard.. in KH, it’s Sora, but in GoW(2018), I’d say it’s more Atreus

It’s different because Kratos’ redemption and upheaval of letting go of the past basically depends upon how his son, I.E Atreus views him

Not the player’s or other characters

But Atreus’

That’s why it’s different. Because this redemption arc isn’t just about Kratos being good now.. It’s rather if he can be a good father in this second chance he has now, and rather or not he’s worthy of that. And that again hitched on how Atreus sees him, who has a rocky relationship with him, but the journey they had together.. Atreus looks to his father as strong and likely respects him more than he did previously, and by the end, their bond is stronger than it was at the beginning.

And the way that Kratos compliments of his son progress..

He acknowledges the growth and development of Atreus, and Atreus tells him “Thank you Father”.. it’s great

They can be pretty good, and can vary in quality

Some can be kinda bad tho
