Isn't there a method to multiple choice questions?

Tbh I've very rarely had multiple choice, I know recently science a levels have a multiple choice section but it's like ten questions

The method is that they give you the answer and often have trick questions, which you can sometimes rule out the others, sometimes by odd man out.
