and that the staff of FFXIV actively encourage helping out new players all the time

They literally give you something for giving to others

also one big thing i think FF has is allowing bards to play real music they actually have to learn and play. like that small extra bit of RPG freedom that brings crowds of real people around to listen and cheer is awesome imo
