In my experience, phone calls are a good sign and e-mails indicate rejection.

i will have gotten my answer lol

well i haven't gotten either lol

At least you are being proactive to pursue other companies, but I wouldn't tell them that.

I'd ask if I should pursue other opportunities instead, even though I started already.

no

if they want you they gonna stress out

i just thought by saying i was pursuing them already, they would feel a sense of urgency if they do actually want me

exactly lol

They don't need to know and it's likely that they see it as you already losing interest.

some woman at my job just got a raise like that

I don't imagine saying that you already have would sit well.

I don't imagine saying that you already have would sit well.

she was looking elsewhere prob

just like stanley in the office

she said she found another place with a better pay, they asked her how many they offered and adjusted her salary to keep her

I just see it as risky to let them know.

Hmmm, well firstly I probably would have sent a follow up sooner, so that your work is still in their minds and it reflects your interest in the position a bit more. Although ya never know they might remember you still. The email is short which is good. Not sure about wonderful rest of your week, doesn't sit right for me but see what Goldy says or even Incen. I think the wording could use a bit of changing but at the same time it does need to be your own personality showing through. Like everything from So I just wanted to could use tweaking. Unfortunately my mind is a bit out of whack atm. So Im mostly going to wait and see what Goldy says xD. Although it shouldn't be too bad because it still shows you are interested and are just checking in to see how things are. My main issue would have been the timing of it but you cant change that.

he was saying he was taking another job just to get a raise lol

Like you didn't want your current job to know you were out of town for an interview in case it didn't work out. Keeping in touch definitely shows the initiative.

I think he DID reach out to them after a bit before, though.

And yeah I would avoid talking about other positions

It kind of sounds like a contradiciton

What Would Golden Say?

In the sense that you have a lot of interest but you have already moved on to looking elsewhere. Which you know everyone does but we dont tell them or focus on it

nobody looks for a single job at a time if they are unemplyed

well that's the gamble eh? like will it put them off or will it make them feel i am a hot commodity they need to jump on lol

i don't know if mup is tho

Ofc nobody looks for a single one but employers also dont want to think they are just one option on a list of options

It just didn't seem like something to mention.
