The fast paced fps combat is nice too

not if you do it every 2 meters for 10 hours

And the arcadey classic style

It’s literally boom boom explosions, gore, fast paced destruction, absurd guns with heavy metal playing in the background ? what’s not to like?

But it’s supposed to be mindless really

But there is skill to it

Like no difficulty lol, you’re just supposed to be able to pick it up and have fun going berserk on some demon asses

Oof well if you tried the hard difficulty

And there's one where if you die you have to restart the whole game

I mean just the basics lol

Of course games have higher difficulties

But the basic idea of Doom is to just have fun completely obliterating everything

But in the new ones you can find hidden stuff and there's platforming too

But the story ultimately comes down to “oh shit! We gotta shoot more stuff!”

Though there is some repetition with the gore nests

nothing i just don't see why people are so excited about it
