Aeleus is broken so I can spam it in Moogle o glory missions

Moogle is my second best. Starlight is my best. But I prefer Moogle

you should be able to clear most of the story with just her and Aeleus, enemies reflecting/absorbing power damage will be the major road block

some things the game won't tell you:
-you can put a buffer medal like kairi on any slot, regardless of color. matching the color increases damage, but buffer medals are designed to buff as opposed to doing damage. some medals will now give you buffs and do damage, so those ones should be matched to the right color
-never waste your jewels on continues, gauge refills, or ap refills. it's a scam and you don't need it
-similarly, don't bother with old avatar boards. the aesthetics might be nice, but the skills are usually outdated (with some rare exceptions). right now, anything lower than an atk boost 10 or a def boost 5/6 is worthless.
-take advantage of the raid boss hours throughout the week. playing at 2am/8am/2pm/8pm pst lets you summon bosses for free, and beating them helps you level up real fast. start with the beginner ones, then move your way up to intermediate/advanced as your strength increases
