I still don't think Ava is Darkness, I think Darkness took Ava's form to play with Ven's mind

 

and i'm curious about

what Darkness is going to do in the "real past"

 

I think, dont take this more than an assumption,

Darkness is darkness, as in it has no form. Vanitas is a VESSEL from Darkness extracted by xehanort in bbs. Assuming darkness is talking about the past in KH1, hes going to hide inside of Riku. If you look closely at dark riku and Vanitas design. They both are what we can assume Darkness is. However if the past is during Ventus time then hes going to hide himself or do something that ends up making Ven lose his memory. Via the beginning of BBS where xehanort found him. Remember the connection of DI.

I think Darkness and Maleficent ended up literally at the same time they were before using the pod, they just went from data to real world but still in khux time, Darkness insists a lot about this for us to understand

 

 

Then Darkenss is gonna use Ventus as his vessel and sleep within by causing something to turn the events of the ending of his time.

I think I understand why

Nomura needed the pods to be used twice, it allows him to split Ventus from the other dandelions that will travel further in time, despite them using the pods together the first time, Darkness could be the reason Ventus ends up "earlier" in the timeline

If Darkness is indeed Ava, maybe she's doing all this so that Ventus get inside Sora's heart, so that Sora become a keyblade wielder and goes against MoM
