The Darkling is a Pureblood Heartless that appears in Kingdom Hearts χ. Darkling's are one of the few Heartless who can speak.

we only know sora and aqua who got an anti-form

i think darklings are specifically linked to lux, which we've only seen in khux so far

and both are the only one who died/almost died from darkness

they are still heartless just like ansem sod in humanoid is a heartless. it really depends and plus the reason darkling's only a thing in khux is cause they got a item that they used to try to gather the light which in turn made them susceptible to being a special kind of heartless. and as you recall there wasnt any nobody in kh1 till kh2 same with unversed and dream eaters. product of a later decision by nomura.

feels like the entire existence of Darklings as no link to what is going on right now

they were causing mayhem in ralph world but it's been taken care of, there was not even a reason for them being in that world since ven was in daybreak from the start

Okay, i am SO confused with those Darklings. Aren't they just data? 'Cause during χ[chi], [Player] destroyed them along with Dark Chirithy. But in Unchained χ, that never happened, because the Keyblade War never happened. So, aren't they just data??

nah man, you're mixing things together. heartless are creatures that lost their hearts to darkness. ansem sod intentionally did that using the keyblade when he was apprentice xehanort. as far as we know, darklings didn't lose their hearts to darkness, but they are now creatures of darkness. if they still have their hearts, then they're not heartless, just tainted by darkness

also, the reason there weren't unversed is because they're linked to vanitas, and he wasn't around in kh1-khddd

dream eaters are literally only in dreams, and no one had gone into the dream world until ddd

(i still have no idea about chirithy being a spirit, though. that's just confusing)

Goodness, the different impressions one can get!

They also left out the 'Luxu-kun' part.
