Hmm, interesting. I've been meaning to get around to nier replicant and automata

its sort of ATB based

the units auto basic attack and you wait for your special bars to fill up to use them

honestly not too deep, at least from the bit I've played, but the experience lies in the storytelling and the presentation as per usual with Nier games

i havent gotten to the end of the beta yet so maybe it opens up with more strategy later on
