well, first you'd need 13 darknesses to clash with 7 lights (you can try use 1 pure light and 1 pure dark instead, but the results aren't guaranteed to be as good as the first method)

I got a KH lore related question cause I'm slow. So I'm re-playing BBS and I just started it up but I'm sorta confused on who the voice is that Ventus talks in the beginning when he goes into his heart and shi. Is that Sora's heart or something like that or something completely unrelated to Sora?

Why do people think kingdom hearts is badly written?

It's pretty hokey in places, especially in KH1.

KH is good.

Folks just think they're too cool for a little bit of heart warming silliness with their existentialism.

Oh, there's nothing wrong with the silliness.

All the doom and gloom is balanced out by the awkward dialogue and goofy shenanigans.

There might be some ingredients around here

1. People don't like the non linearity bread crumb style of KH
2. People don't like Disney writing
3. People don't like Nomura writing
4. People would prefer that some more time and care be given to the main cast (i.e Sora and Kairi compared to Riku)
Etc etc

Plenty of reasons actually

So long as it can strike a balance it's fine, sometimes it can be a bit odd of how KH likes to front and back end a lot of plot stuff (especially back end)

I feel like the worst example of that is 3 and 3D.

Ex: KH2 Beast Castle 1, pretty not yet
KH2 Beast Castle 2, ya got some stuff going on now

For the most part I think it's pretty balanced

I'd argue 3D does this pretty well with the constant nagging of Xehanort to Sora and Riku having a proper self journey to himself since CoM

I personally think KH2 does this not great overall but I'm biased

Or should I say, the norts

Like the KH2 thing yeah is mostly just you're typical Disney Adventure(tm), but, I think that it's actually neat story telling cause, especially in Vanilla 2, they show up in Hollow Bastion then they disappear for half the game. Then the stakes get raised

Not in all the levels mind u, but there's an urgency to the visits almost
