And people wonder why everyone is going 'hurr hurr the gaming industry is crashing'. It's because live service dumpster fire garbage is oversaturated. It would have been a failure and everyone here knows it and just won't admit it. I will never say or think otherwise and I will continue to call BS like this out. =/

The only reason those games hurt the industry is because people try to copy them the games just existing isn't bad

This industry is built off chasing trends

Mario comes out, everyone wants a platformer

FF, SMT, and DQ come out, everyone wants an RPG

You see? ML existing by itself wasn't a problem, but since 2 things are true at once, it was a continued part of several problems bigger than itself, ie Square's decision making and the gaming landscape.

I never had a problem with ML existing. My problem is that people need to get over it and move on

I just don't like mobile games and don't play mobile games because 95% of them are full of microtransaction garbage
