Rn I’m going through Trails, it’s kept me extremely busy enough that’s for sure…

Once I start my new job, I'm buying a shit ton of games to play

i find it kinda weird that kingdom hearts

is now a retro game

since

kingdom hearts 2 despite being a 20 year old game

aged like fine wine

like i dont think kh2 will ever see its age

its way too goo

I'm still 2+ years behind on games. It's not getting any better. So... yeah...

kh2 is a game u can play in 2026, and its still just as good as release day

why isn't kh2 a contender for best video games of all time like People say that zelda oot is one of the best games of all time

But, that game does not age well

not as well as kh2

Well [i]that's[/i] partially because too many people are too kind to Nintendo games where as Playstation games are always under extra scrutiny.

"Oh wow this game still looks amazing." Mario 64, Ocarina, Majora, Star Fox Vs "Oh. Yeah, this game looks good. For the time. For the hardware. Considering it's limitations." Literally most Sony games from the PS1 through PS2.

when it comes to n64 nintendo games there are some that age better than others

and the ps2 has that too

but, kh2 just is a different example

KH2 ages so well that you genuinely forget that it was released 20 years ago

I feel like KH1 ages better in an artistic like, direction sense. KH2 has sick gameplay but KH1 has a unique aura and aesthetic that [i]I[/i] haven't seen replicated-- even within Kingdom Hearts itself

Plus even with the added story, KH1 still sits nice and comfortable. KH2 has a great story but every game after it undid, retconned, or otherwise forgot and changed every plot point [i]to[/i] the point that at least half of 2's plot retroactively doesn't even matter lmao
