You think the 13th struggle is better than the of castle oblivion field theme

well the ending

tresuared memories

was better

i hope they make a recoded remaster

and 358 over 2 days

Listen, I'm not gonna argue about which one was better or worse, I have better things to do. And yes I also think that a remake of those two games would be nice

I wish SE went all-out with 1.5's and 2.5's original releases
They did plan to make 358/2 Days a remake like how they did with Re:CoM originally. it sure as heck would've helped in the long run

more than that though... wouldn't it make more sense to have had Re:CoM be the movie set? Had Re:CoM not been remade for PS2, it definitely would've been the movie set.
358/2 was already a 3D game, I can't imagine it would've been that hard to just make the game work with the higher detail PS2 character models

but Re:CoM had it's cutscenes ever since KH II FM+ decided to exist

and the fact they never properly lip-synced the cutscenes for the English dialogue for any of the movies or Re:CoM

It wouldn't be that easy. They'd have to rebuild a DS game from scratch in an entirely new engine.

but would they have to tho?

I don't think it's impossible to just HD-ify a DS game

Idk how they'll handle the whole 2nd screen thing (unless they make it a wii u game or something) but once i get a good pc I'll try a good ds emu

Perhaps they can use Dream, drop, distance remaster as a base template aside from that yes a majority for it has to be rebuild on again.

idk about re:coded but 358/2 just has the map on the bottom screen

Days wasn't a 3D game. DDD was

Redoing a DS game for console takes more work because DS games were only 2D sprites

Technically, couldn’t they do like how the Mega Man ZX games were handled on switch

Plus they were starting work for KH3 at the time so development would have delayed the HD collections

DDD had an advantage due to having the sprites in 3D plus with FF XV, which contained a part of the KH development at the time, was finishing up so they can start shifting back people

To redo either Days or Coded would take 2-3 years at best

....

Days was a 3D game...

05:00

the gameplay is right there

ohmygod I didn't mean THAT

wot????

do you mean like... idk development stuff wise??

Yes

Development wise, they are 2D

Cutscenes were just pre-rendered

easier to convert to HD

Hmm if they were to rebuild it from the ground up, does that mean they have use UE4 to do it?

most likely yeah

you'd have a much easier time using UE4 or Unity to accomplish a remake of this nature than making an in house engine

but an in house engine would also not be the worst idea
however with Square it's probably best they stick with UE4/Unity

Also, if they were to give this to an outside group like MoM, UE4/Unity would be easier to adapt and understand for development

And didn't it have assistance by an outside company

indie zero i believe
