I think the West has more fans

But Square and Disney love to treat their Japanese fanbase more

Disney has special merchandise only avaliable there too

And unless I can start a thread about it, no one would probably be open to my ideas

I almost bought the limited edition stuff when I lived in Japan but I didn't want to lose them in the packages to ship over to here

And I have even been told that if I want something badly, it would be better off as something made by fans than something official

Well yeah but the thing is

Disney and Square saw how much sales they made with Kh3

And each game in the franchise is different entirely compared to KH

Which is actually a lot

Whereas each FF game has a different plot and different cast of characters

Whereas each KH game follows a set storyline focusing on Sora and co

And unlike KH, FF has spawned a lot more things

I'm talking things like the Chocobo spin-off series, the Advent Children movie and even an OVA series

Whereas KH has barely had anything like that, apart from the manga

I need to get the mangas

Idk I mean KH is getting more and more popular to the point where some Disney princesses in the parks would know about Sora if you ask

Or if they see you wearing KH merch

And it had a "movie" that was packaged as something exclusive to a video game compilation and not like an actual movie like Advent Children

I'm just saying that FF has done way more with the games than KH has ever done

Plus FF has more concert shows too unlike KH

Well the first FF game was made in 1987 haha (and saved Square) so yeah it's obviously more well-known

Like I would pay £7 just to see a fully animated KH film at a cinema

Or even save up for a trip to Disneyland to meet Sora and ride on all the hypothetical KH theme park rides and attractions

They put out king mickey and kh donald in disneyland to take pictures
